Our commitment
Much of this site is written for people in their sixties and seventies, so readability and accessibility are not an afterthought here. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard generally referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act and adopted by Section 508.
If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, tell us and we will fix it. We will also give you the same information another way in the meantime.
What we have done
- Colour contrast. Every text and background pairing has been measured against the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Keyboard operation. Every menu, link, button, form field, and accordion works without a mouse. A visible focus outline shows where you are, and a skip link jumps you past the navigation.
- Screen readers. Proper heading order, landmark regions, form labels, table headers, and accessible names throughout. Wide tables are reachable and scrollable by keyboard, and the tax calculator announces updated results.
- Zoom and reflow. Pages work at 200% and 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling or lost content, down to a 320 pixel viewport.
- Reduced motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, the fade animations turn off.
- Plain language. Written at roughly a seventh to ninth grade reading level, with financial terms defined where they first appear.
How we test
Every page is checked with the axe accessibility engine against the WCAG 2.0 A/AA, WCAG 2.1 A/AA, and WCAG 2.2 AA rule sets, at both desktop and mobile widths. That is paired with manual keyboard testing, zoom and reflow checks, and review of heading structure and form labelling. The most recent full pass returned no automated violations.
Automated testing catches only part of what matters. If something reads badly, sounds wrong, or simply does not work with your assistive technology, that is worth telling us about even if no tool flags it.
Known limitations
- The downloadable checklist PDF. It is a designed document. If you would prefer the same content as an accessible web page or plain text, ask and we will send it.
- Third-party content. If we add a scheduling tool or form service, parts of it are outside our control. We will choose accessible providers where we can and provide an alternative where we cannot.
- Documents we did not author, such as regulatory filings and brochures, may not meet the same standard. Ask and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
Tell us about a problem
If you hit a barrier on this site, please contact us and describe what happened, which page you were on, and what you were using — screen reader, browser, phone, whatever it was. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix genuine accessibility defects promptly.
You are also welcome to call Qubera Wealth Management and we will read anything on this site to you, walk you through the calculator, or send the information in another format at no cost.
Alternatives, always available
Nothing on this site is gated. There is no email requirement for the calculator or the checklist. And no part of our advice depends on you being able to use this website at all — a phone call gets you the same answers.
